Most of my work is web videos and commercials. I treat my business as though the client is in the next room and I’m on their team.
I’m available all day, every day even just for a quick script change or an ad that needs recording within the next 15 minutes.
That’s how radio in particular works and it serves me well in an industry where it’s a given that your performance has to be excellent.

Having trained as an actor, this versatile VO talent has ticked off time on the stage, in TV and film, and as the voice behind a slew of promos, commercials, corporate videos, and more.

Growing up, I always loved acting. I’d become fascinated with the human voice and I started doing impersonations of celebrities and characters from a young age. After I had trained to become an actor, I looked into becoming a voice artist. Penny is another of Voice Crafters top talents who found her feet through acting but her calling in the world of voice overs.

Her training at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London means she can turn her voice from charming to childlike, or sultry to scholarly.
While this has attracted a ton of top-tier clients like Facebook, Playstation, the BBC, Visa, and Vodafone, where she’s truly made her mark is in narration.
This includes podcasts and audiobooks, and unusually, also sees her regularly sharing kudos with her children and husband, who also work in the biz.
Really, my main love is recording anything with character voices, I think coming from a theatre background, character creation, and accents are my niche. My husband and children also work as professional VOs, and it’s always so much fun when we work together.”
Regardless of the career background or other pathway that led to voice work, the truth is that the best VO artists feel that this is what they were born to do.
